Chant Family of Martock

Photos of the Chant family from Michael John Chant.

Recently I found my Grandfather's wedding photo.He was Richard John Chant who married
Annie Eliza Marsh on 1st May 1901 at the Ebeneezer Chapel Bower Hinton. He became
manager of G H Smith & Co, Parret Works.

The second photo shows my Great Grandfather's shop in North Street adjacent to the Wesleyan Chapel. I presume he is at the gate and my grandmother is with her bicycle.

The third photo is of the now demolished cottage attached to the 14th century manor house.This was occupied by Mr & Mrs Worner. She is standing at the door and was for many years
the Sacristan at the Church opposite. They were friends of our family. Photo early 1950s.
